About Coastal Eye Care

This successful multi-location practice was founded in 1999 by Dr. Darren Thorsen, O.D., and has provided full-service optometry to families and residents for over 20 years. With three thriving locations, Dr. Thorsen recently opened the Tillamook practice, specializing in eye care emergencies, ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses and surgical co-management. Conveniently located in a bustling downtown, the practice is easily accessible from Oregon Coast Highway 101, OR-6 and OR-131. To support the expansion of Coastal Eye Care, while preserving the gold-standard service the patients know and expect, Dr. Thorsen is looking to add an additional provider to the highly-trained team of four staff members.

Committed to helping patients gain the best vision through optimal eye health, this practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment, behind-the-scenes functional technology, and leverages cloud-based software enabling electronic medical records and charting at all locations. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of frames and sunglasses for all budgets from the optical boutique—plus personalized customer support from the friendly opticians, ensuring patients find the proper fit for comfort and the newest styles for fashion.
