About Precision Optometry


Established by Dr. Geraldine Brooks, this independent practice provides comprehensive eye care to residents and families in Placer County, specializing in glaucoma, pediatrics, primary care, and specialty contact lenses. The team takes a patient-centric approach by focusing on patients’ every need with compassion and integrity; and, they go above and beyond to educate patients about eye health to help ensure a lifetime of vision wellness. The practice is conveniently located at the Rock Creek Plaza on Sunrise Blvd, easily accessible from Business 80 and Highway 65. To support the growth of Precision Optometry and offer more specialties, Dr. Brooks is looking at add an additional provider to the cross-trained staff.  


This modern practice is suited with state-of-the-art, pre-diagnostic optical technology and uses behind-the-scenes technology to diagnose a wide array of ocular conditions. Through vision testing, eye function testing, and an ocular health exam, patients receive a comprehensive exam to determine treatment options that will help preserve, restore, or prevent vision loss. Patients will also enjoy personalized service from the friendly Opticians who will select the proper frames for comfort and lifestyle—while staying in budget. 


About the opening


Precision Optometry is seeking a full-time Associate Optometrist who is passionate about helping others and is excited to exceed patient expectations through superior service to maximize the visual quality of life. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye exams and patient care Monday through Friday and required to cover alternating Saturdays—approximately 12 exams are performed daily. A candidate with residency training and additional specialty certifications will be a complimentary addition to the practice. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from talented professionals and directly contribute to the growth of the practice. And, for the right candidate, a future potential ownership opportunity may be available.


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:


•    Optometry license in the state of California
