About Family Vision Center

For more than 35 years, Family Vision Center has provided full-scope optometric services to families and residents of Brevard County of all ages and ocular conditions. The practice offers complete eye health experience and specializes in ocular disease diagnoses, treatment and management, specialty contact lenses, and diabetic eye care. Conveniently located in a high-traffic business area, the practice is easily accessible from US Route 1. To support the practice’s growth while preserving the gold-standard service the patients know and expect, Family Vision Center is looking to add an Optometrist to the staff of 17 employees. 


Committed to helping patients gain the best vision through optimal eye health, Family Vision Center utilizes highly sophisticated optometric technology to detect early diseases and manage a range of ocular conditions. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including autorefractors, distal refraction, optical coherence tomography, OPTOS, and OfficeMate/ExamWriter to manage eye health. In addition, patients receive personalized support from the Opticians as they help select proper eyewear for the right fit and functionality—plus, the practice carries the latest designer eyewear collections in a variety of styles, colors, and materials.


About the Optometrist Position

Family Vision Center has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Optometrist, passionate about providing the highest level of personalized care, has excellent patient communication skills, and a great personality. You’ll practice full-scope optometry 40 hours a week—approximately two patients are cared for hourly, with additional follow-ups, contact lens checks, and eye emergencies. You’ll have the unique opportunity to care for a diverse patient base and learn from experts in a supportive environment. As a valued member of the team, you’ll directly contribute to the continuous growth and expansion of Family Vision Center. For the right Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services. 


Minimum qualifications include: 

•    Optometry license in the state of Florida
