This well-known practice was founded by Gary Gallagher, O.D., and has served Shasta County and surrounding areas for over 40 years. Committed to providing compassionate and personalized eye care, Enterprise Optometry Group ensures optimal eye health through primary optometric care, specializing in dry eye treatment, ocular allergy treatment, emergency eye care, and hard-to-fit contact lenses. To continue supporting the practice’s growth and expand services offered in-office and online, Enterprise Optometry Group is looking to add an additional Optometrist to the staff of 11 employees. 

This tech-forward practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including digital retinal imaging. Patients enjoy personalized service from the friendly Opticians who go above and beyond to find the perfect pair of frames for all budgets—plus, the practice offers a variety of contacts and an optical dispensary for added convenience. 

About the opening

Enterprise Optometry Group is looking for a part-time or full-time Optometrist who is inspired by a career focused on helping others while collaborating with a dedicated team of talented professionals to create new business opportunities. The full-time Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye care 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fridays. Health record charting and navigating a multitude of insurance plans to ensure proper billing and coding will also be required. 

This is an excellent opportunity to care for an established patient base as well as a strong referral base and work with a wide range of ocular conditions. Plus, you’ll learn from other experts in a supportive environment, and extend care, when needed to local Ophthalmologists, specialists and primary care physicians through established relationships. 

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications include:

•    Optometry license in the state of California
•    At least 5 years of experience
