About the practice

Established in 2004 to serve a growing community, this practice is owned by Dr. Jin Zhu, O.D. This practice provides full-service optometry to families and residents in San Bernardino County of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses, and specializes in specialty contact lenses, myopia control, and glaucoma. Conveniently located in a strip mall and just five minutes from Victoria Gardens Mall, this ideal practice location offers convenient access to Foothill Freeway, San Bernardino Freeway, and Interstate 15. Over the past 15 years, this practice has grown to include three providers and 14 cross-trained staff members.


This fast-paced tech-forward practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology that includes digital retinal imaging, high-definition OCT, and threshold visual field. Online appointment scheduling and office communications are offered via text messaging. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique for all budgets—plus an on-site lab is ready to conveniently serve patients for same-day glasses.


About the opening

The practice is seeking one full-time Doctor of Optometry who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll perform eye exams for vision and ocular health—a candidate with knowledge in corneal refractive therapy, glaucoma, and scleral lenses would be a complimentary addition to the practice. The current office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday; and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. The OD will work 40 hours a week, with two days off on Sunday, Wednesday or Thursday. The candidate will be expected to cover Sunday on an as-needed basis.


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:

  • Doctor of Optometry license in the state of California

Preferred specialties include:

  • Corneal Refractive Therapy
  • Glaucoma
  • Scleral Lenses
