Organizational Effectiveness Business Partner, VSP Vision Care

General Summary

With general supervision, participate in the planning, communication, and implementation of results-based organizational effectiveness solutions. Specific solutions may focus in the areas of team effectiveness, change management, engagement activities, training facilitation, and leadership and employee development. 

Essential Functions

Translate change management practice into practical and connected change plans and collaborate closely with the HR team to execute the solutions

 

Provide coaching to develop employees in achieving career and business objectives and support building a talent pipeline to a high performing leadership team 

 

Facilitate company-wide training programs and presentations to address business and organizational needs; collaborate with HR Business Partners to facilitate adhoc training and team building

 

Gather and analyze data from various sources to discern patterns and connections in information and to leverage in organizational assessment and design  

 

Proactively raise issues or problems resulting from a change in the organization and find ways to resolve these efficiently; escalate issues to HR leadership, stakeholders and HR business partners  

 

Working with other HR stakeholders, coordinate communications resulting from change initiatives to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging

 

Collaborate with Employee Enablement Team on HR projects and program development in partnership with HR stakeholders and leadership  

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:


Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Psychology or related degree or equivalent experience 

 

Three years of organizational development experience

 

Broad understanding and demonstrated application of OD & OE methodologies, approaches and implementation to solve business challenges

 

Understanding of HR practices, processes, and trends 

 

Project experience implementing HR initiatives

 

Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

 

Solution-focused mindset with a flexible approach to achieving outcomes

 

Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to work through potentially difficult situations

 

Proven skill in facilitating small and large groups of both employee and leadership teams

 

Demonstrated coaching and feedback skills

 

Analytical skills and ability to synthesize information to identify organizational opportunities and develop actionable plans

 

Passion for learning and continuous improvement

 

Ability to regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in performance of his/her job duties

The working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
