General Summary

Under moderate supervision, create, research, test, and facilitate the implementation of document processes and procedures. Partner with IT to implement changes in all automated documents utilizing DOC1 software. Partner with Legal to maintain document masters to ensure compliance and integrity. Act as point of contact/subject matter expert for any document related issues.   

Essential Functions

Perform the appropriate level of analysis needed to develop, design, and facilitate the implementation of document compilation processes and procedures that meet customer needs, ensure regulatory compliance, and ensure document accuracy


Acts as subject matter expert to provide business requirements for system modifications and enhancements


Assist IT with user acceptance testing, defect reporting and resolution


Provides post-implementation support, such as problem resolution and adjustments to new procedures


Maintain document masters to ensure accurate and real-time retrieval


Work with IT to perform data integrity checks of document content and logic/rules criteria


Assist with research and problem-solve issues surrounding data extrapolation and systems in which the data resides


Work with the Legal Department, Business Analysts, Programmers, IT Techincal Support Personnel and various other VSP business partners to ensure that contracts are up-to-date and are compliant with VSP policy and state regulations


Research and establish organizational systems or manual processes to better manage document process


Provide document statistics utilizing custom databases or system-generated reports to provide information to management or other business partners

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:


One to two years of experience working with contract documents, including compilation and production  


Two years of experience utilizing complex query functions and formats to spreadsheet applications and databases to provide reporting and statistics


Ability to communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups


Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting department timelines


Strong problem-solving skills


Strong interpersonal skills


Advanced knowledge of word processing applications, specifically Microsoft Word  

Preferred Skills

Professional internal and external communication

Skilled in prioritizing, time management, and organization

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
