General Summary

Develop, lead, direct and oversee all aspects of the sales efforts for Altair.

Essential Functions

Lead, plan and direct Altair’s sales strategies and activities to achieve revenue objectives

 

Direct development of sales projections and program implementation to increase distribution, product sales and revenue

 

Lead competitive analysis and program implementation efforts

 

Maintain effective partnership with Marchon sales management team to ensure strategic Eyewear initiatives are developed and executed

 

Develop and recommend budget; monitors expenses to ensure unit costs are within established levels

 

Manage performance and development of Sales management and teams, including conducting performance reviews and establishing employee development plans

 

Plan appropriate staffing levels and direct efforts to hire and retain talented marketing and sales professionals

 

Assure management training and development needs are identified and programs are achieved

 

Ensure the company’s management policies and programs are consistently practiced

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

 

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

 

Minimum of 12 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports

 

Proven track record in effective sales strategies and increasing revenue

 

Demonstrated experience in driving organizational change

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Proven analytical, problem solving, presentation, and relationship-building skills

 

Creates and delivers information at appropriate level for audience, including presentations and status updates 

 

Gains needed support from key stakeholders to lead and manage changes to successfully execute the programs

 

Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

 

Must be able to travel 30-50% of the time
