About Gold Eye Clinic/Optical & Palestine Laser/Surgery Center

The clinic has five thriving locations and a surgery center and provides a total eye care experience for families and residents in the Palestine, Corsicana, Jacksonville, Fairfield, and Crockett communities. Combining cutting-edge technologies and a caring team of professionals, the practices offer full-scope optometry, diagnostic and surgical eye care, and an extensive optical department. In addition to routine eye and medical care, the team of experts specializes in corneal and retinal services, glaucoma and cataract surgery, laser vision correction, eyelid procedures, and pediatric surgical procedures. To maintain a competitive edge in the eye care industry, the practice is opening a new eye clinic and surgery center and looking for a well-rounded Optometrist to join the dynamic team of 60 employees. 

All practice locations utilize the industry's most advanced vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. Using cloud-based software, the office operates in a paperless environment that enables electronic medical records and charting from anywhere. Patients enjoy a family-friendly experience as they shop a large variety of fashionable eyewear—plus, the Opticians provide personalized support to help patients select the proper frames tailored to medical needs and fashion preferences.   

About the Full-Time Optometrist Position 

The clinic is seeking a highly-skilled Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care and deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions. You'll work 40 hours a week and perform comprehensive eye examinations and provide a variety of optometric services—approximately 40 patients are cared for daily. Full support from an administration over-sight team and an experienced team of optical technicians will allow you to focus on providing the highest level of personalized care to help patients achieve optimal vision.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications include: 

•    Optometry license in the state of Texas
