About Kajioka Optometry


This family-owned practice was established in 1993 by Dr. Keith Kajioka. For over 25 years, Kajioka Optometry and has provided full-service optometry to families and residents in Stanislaus County of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses. The practice specializes in specialty contact lenses, ocular diseases and treatments, post-surgical care for laser vision and glaucoma removal, and vision therapy. Centrally located in Modesto, the practice offers convenient access to Highway-99 and public transportation routes. To support the practice’s continued growth and maintain the gold-standard service that Dr. Kajioka’s patients know and expect, the practice is looking to add an additional provider to its cross-trained staff. 


This operationally-focused, modern practice uses state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well equipped with advanced technology, including optical coherence tomography, digital retinal photography, topography and corneal pachymetry. Online appointment scheduling and office communications are offered via text messaging. Patients can enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of fashionable eyewear from the optical boutique—plus the practice carries specialty lenses for all lifestyles. 


About the opening


Kajioka Optometry is seeking one part-time or full-time Optometrist who is passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. In this role, you will practice full-scope optometry two to five days a week. The current office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Tuesday hours from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is a unique opportunity to see a wide variety of patients and learn from experienced professionals. For the right candidate, a potential partnership or ownership opportunity may be available. 


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:


•    Optometry license in the state of California
