About Dr. Patricia Chang Optometric Group, Inc. 


Established in 1983, Dr. Patricia Chang Optometric Group, Inc. has provided full-service optometry to families and residents in San Mateo County for over 35 years. Committed to offering tailored vision care solutions and world-class optical products, the practice offers additional specialties in myopia management, orthokeratology, specialty contact lenses, and a member of the InfantSEE program. The business is centrally located and offers convenient access to Highway 101 and Highway 82. To help drive practice revenue and business growth, Dr. Patricia Chang Optometric Group, Inc. is looking to add an Associate Optometrist to the cohesive team of three professionals.  


This tech-forward, modern practice offers a complete eyecare experience using state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including an Essilor auto-phoropter, Zeiss auto-phoropter/auto-keratometer, CenterVue Eidon confocal fundus camera, Medmont topographer, and an Oculus virtual visual fields device. Additionally, cloud-based software is used to manage electronic health records, and telehealth technology is available to care for remote individuals conveniently. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique—plus, the Optician offers personalized support to help select the proper frames and lenses for vision and medical needs. 


About the Associate Optometrist


The practice is seeking an Associate Optometrist passionate about a career dedicated to helping others and committed to enriching lives through optimal eye health and vision care. You’ll perform comprehensive optometric exams and contact lens services—approximately 12 patients are cared for daily with additional follow-ups and contact lens checks. The position is part-time, 24 to 32 hours a week and is an excellent opportunity for new graduates with a strong interest in private practice. A candidate with experience in orthokeratology and specialty contact lenses will be an asset to the team. For the right Associate Optometrist, a future partnership opportunity may be available. 


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:


•    Optometry license in the state of California
•    Recent graduates are encouraged to apply

 

Preferred specialty qualifications include: 


•    Orthokeratology
•    Specialty contact lenses
