General Summary

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for the strategy development and implementation of Domestic and International brand marketing programs. 

Essential Functions

Responsible for all aspects of the licensor brand marketing for assigned Domestic and International brands, including budgets, expenses, personnel, goals, timelines and deliverables; communicates with licensor on a regular basis and establishes a productive working relationship with the licensor.

 

Organizes and executes brand initiatives and programs.

 

Develops and monitors the strategic business plan which outlines the brand objectives for product and marketing.

 

Oversees brand image and marketing related materials for events at trade shows, expositions, and sales meetings including cross brand promotions and awards.

 

Work with brand management on specifications, estimates, bidding, artwork execution, proofs, issuing of purchase requisitions and press approvals.

 

Manages the development and implementation of the strategic business plans for assigned licensors.

 

Develops strategies to capitalize on market opportunities as they arise.

 

Continually develops recommendations that improve brand positioning and manages the implementation of those initiatives.

 

Oversees product market research and analysis, product sales analysis and competitor product analysis; executes new product launches.

 

Attends trade shows, sales meetings and sales launch events as directed.

 

Participates in key sales and marketing presentations as necessary

 

Maintains open communication with Sales Management, Key Accounts, Board Management, Customer Services and other key partners as appropriate.

 

Serve as liaison for key corporate initiatives as assigned (e.g.: Eyeconic, Board Management, etc.).

 

Participates in the development of budgets and monitoring of expenses to ensure that costs are within established levels.

 

Monitors the execution and effectiveness of marketing and image programs against budget and expected result.

 

Monitor the performance of employees.  Provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling.

 

Conduct performance reviews and recommend salary increases.

 

Identify and assign resources to meet business objectives.

 

Assure that effective communications are maintained within the department.

 

Monitor turnover, productivity and overall performance to ensure adequate staffing and performance levels.

 

Manage the interview and hiring process for open positions to ensure the most qualified candidates are selected.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities

 

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

 

Minimum of 15 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of direct reports.

 

Proven presentation and negotiating skills.

 

A persuasive and quick thinker.

 

Demonstrated creativity and knowledge of industry resources and opportunities.

 

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

 

Demonstrated ability to make management decisions with wide ranging impact.

 

Proven ability to manage employees on a global level.

 

Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects required.  

 

Ability to work with individuals on a global level.

 

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills


Ability to travel domestic and international.

 

Ability to regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
