About Advanced Eyecare Associates


Established in 1991, Advanced Eyecare Associates provides comprehensive full-scope optometry to families and residents in Merced County of all ages, insurances, and visual diagnoses. The team of professionals offers a strong focus on medical optometry and specializes in diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, myopia management, pediatric optometry, and surgical co-management. Additionally, the team offers contact lens services for hard-to-fit contact lenses, including near farsightedness, astigmatism, and keratoconus. To support long-term practice growth and maintain the gold-standard service that patients know and expect, the practice is looking for an Associate Optometrist to join the team of 12 employees.  


To help achieve and maintain clear vision for years to come, Advanced Eyecare Associates utilizes state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well equipped with advanced technology, including Optos, Zeiss Cirrus OCT, and Humphrey Visual Field technology. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of fashionable eyewear from the optical boutique—plus, the Opticians provide personalized support to help customers select eyewear tailored to medical needs and customized for fashion preferences and lifestyle needs.


About the Associate Optometrist Opening


Advanced Eyecare Associates is seeking a well-rounded Associate Optometrist passionate about providing personalized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You’ll provide full-time comprehensive patient care Monday through Friday—approximately 20 patients are cared for daily, plus walk-ins and check-ups. A candidate with experience in pediatric optometry, medical eye care, and contact lenses will be an asset to the team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established medical-oriented practice with a large patient base and offers growth opportunities in several specialty areas. Advanced Eyecare Associates is looking for a reliable professional with a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced, efficient clinical setting. For the right Associate Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.  


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors continuously and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:


  • Optometry license in the state of California


Preferred specialties include:


  • Pediatric optometry
  • Medical eye care experience
  • Contact lenses
