About Sea View Optometry

Established in 1987, Sea View Optometry provides a total eye care experience to families and residents in Long Beach and surrounding communities. The practice takes pride in offering unparalleled service to diverse communities and proactively participates in community outreach programs through partnerships with the LGBTQ+ communities, as well as local charities and organizations. Committed to providing optimal vision and eye health care, the professionals at Sea View specialize in ocular disease treatment and management, including glaucoma and dry eye treatment, pediatric eye care, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lenses. To help support practice expansion to a second location while preserving the world-class service patients receive, Sea View Optometry is looking to add an Optometrist to the close-knit team of eight staff members.


Sea View Optometry continuously stays at the forefront of new developments in the optometric industry. The practice is well-appointed with behind-the-scenes functional technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases, including a full range of automated exam equipment, OPTOS Monaco, and Macular Pigment Density technology. In addition, the optical boutique offers an exquisite collection of top-quality, high-end designer frames with rigorously tested lenses to ensure they meet the needs of all patients. Customers will receive personalized support from the Frame Stylists to help select the proper frames for budget, cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs—plus, the practice offers custom tailoring of eyewear and concierge optician services.


About the Full-Time Optometrist Position

Sea View Optometry is seeking a full-time Optometrist passionate about providing patient-centered eye care to enhance vision, eye health, and quality of life for all patients. You'll practice 38 to 40 hours a week and provide comprehensive eye examinations for visual and ocular health—up to 16 complete exams are performed by each doctor daily. You'll also have the opportunity to educate patients, participate in community outreach, and network with business professionals throughout the Long Beach community. A candidate experienced in dry eye treatment, macular degeneration management, specialty contact lenses including ChromaGen, or proficient in a second language will be an asset to the team. For the right Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Optometry license in the state of California


Preferred skills include:

  • Dry eye treatment
  • Macular degeneration management
  • Specialty contact lenses, including ChromaGen color vision lenses
  • Bilingual
