Wood Eye Care Centers is family-owned and operated since 1992 and serves Gwinnett and Walton Counties. Dedicated to providing outstanding eye care and phenomenal customer service, patients can expect a complete eye care experience in a friendly and comfortable environment. The team of professionals practices full-scope optometry, specializing in ocular disease treatment and management, myopia control, PROKERA, and surgical co-management. In addition to comprehensive eye care, the Wood Eye Care Centers offer specialty contact lens services and provide customers with in-depth, expert assistance for hard-to-fit contacts. To help support the business’ thriving locations and drive practice growth, Wood Eye Care Centers is looking to add an Associate Optometrist to its team of 20 employees.

Each location utilizes a suite of advanced technology and is fully equipped with an Optomap, Tearlab, iWellness, Threshold Visual Fields, Inflammadry, Adeno-Plus, iVue Laser Scanner, and an iCare tonometer. A strong technical team and optical staff enable the doctor to examine patients, build relationships, and recommend a care plan. Patients enjoy visiting a modern eyewear boutique and a personalized eyeglass fitting from the expert Opticians—plus, Wood Eye Care Centers has an on-site optical lab to serve patients conveniently. 


About the Associate Optometrist Position


Wood Eye Care Centers has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Associate Optometrist passionate about providing the highest level of patient care in a friendly and warm environment. You’ll perform direct patient care and comprehensive eye examinations every 20 to 30 minutes with additional medical eye checkups in the morning and afternoon. A candidate with a strong interest in treating and managing ocular diseases and surgical co-management will be an asset to the team. The practice is looking for someone with excellent patient communication skills and genuinely caring about the patient experience. At Wood Eye Care Centers, you’ll join an outgoing and dedicated team that treats all patients like family, which is why patients feel at home when they visit any practice location. 


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will have an excellent clinical skillset, a desire for continued learning, the ability to grasp new technologies with ease, and a passion for helping those in need. For the right Associate Optometrist, a future ownership opportunity may be available.


Minimum qualifications include:


•    Optometry license in the state of Georgia

 

Preferred qualifications include:


•    Interest in managing ocular diseases and surgical co-management
