Established in 1996, Three Rivers Eye Care provides full-service optometry to families and residents in Cowlitz County of all ages, insurances, visual and medical diagnoses. Combining cutting-edge technology and a caring team of professionals, Three Rivers Eye Care is committed to ensuring optimal eye and vision health, specializing in primary eye care, dry eye treatment, macular degeneration, and myopia management. To help support long-term practice growth, Three Rivers Eye Care is looking to add an Associate Optometrist to the highly-trained team of 8 employees.

 

The professionals at Three Rivers Eye Care genuinely care about patient health and use state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including Marco Digital refraction systems, Optovue OCT and retinal imaging, Zeiss Visual Field, Maculogix, AdaptDX, Lumenis IPL and Lipiflow. Patients enjoy a family-friendly experience as they shop the latest styles of eyewear from the optical boutique—plus the Opticians work closely with the patients to select proper frames for cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs.

 

About the Associate Optometrist Position

 

Three Rivers Eye Care is seeking a part-time Associate Optometrist who is passionate about providing the highest level of patient-centric care. You’ll perform full-scope patient care 24 to 30 hours a week—approximately 12 to 20 patients are cared for daily. The practice is looking for someone who has excellent patient communication skills and can recommend treatment plans and educate patients about products that will improve their vision. This is a unique opportunity to work with special populations and care for a variety of patients and conditions. An Associate Optometrist experienced in medical eye care, dry eye treatment, and myopia management will be an asset to the team.

 

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors continuously and to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

 

Minimum qualifications include:

 

  • Optometry license in the state of Washington

 

Preferred qualifications include:

 

  • Primary care optometry with a medical emphasis
  • Dry eye treatment
  • Myopia management
