About Fairmont Eye Care, Inc.


Established in 1950, Fairmont Eye Care, Inc. provides full-service optometric care to residents and families in Marion County and surrounding communities. The practice is dedicated to preserving vision and eye health and specializes in various medical eye services, including managing chronic conditions such as dry eye treated with intense pulse light, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. The practice also offers contact lens fittings, low vision services, and post-surgical care. To help drive practice growth and expand the patient base, Fairmont Eye Care, Inc. is looking for an Optometrist to join the team of 13 employees.


The practice ensures optimal eye health through the industry’s most advanced technology and utilizes optical coherence tomography, Optos, and visual field technology. In addition, cloud-based technology is utilized to manage electronic health records, establish a baseline of patients’ ocular health, and monitors changes. Patients will enjoy a family-friendling shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of fashionable eyewear and designer frames—plus, the Opticians work closely with the patients to select proper frames for cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs. 


About the Optometrist Opening


Fairmont Eye Care, Inc. is seeking a full-time Optometrist who genuinely cares about the patient experience and consistently provides personalized care to ensure excellent eye health. You’ll practice full-scope optometry 40 hours per week—approximately 250 patients are cared for weekly. The practice is looking for a team player committed to growing the business and expanding the patient population while providing top quality-care and additional specialty offerings. You’ll also train and inspire employees to perform to their potential and contribute to a solid practice foundation built on respect, professionalism, trust, and appreciation. For the right Optometrist, a future partnership opportunity may be available. 


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:


•    Optometry license in the state of West Virginia
