There is a fantastic opportunity for an Optometrist to join an established and growing practice in Northern Nevada. This position is full-time, only four days per week with weekends off.

About the practice

The practice offers full-scope optometry services and utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to diagnose a wide array of ocular conditions. The certified Optical Technicians conduct patient workups and pre-testing using the following: VA and auto-lensometry on worn glasses; Zeiss VisuPhor and VisuScreen digital refraction system; Zeiss profiler for auto-refraction, keratometry, and topography; FDT visual fields screening; NCT; Fundus Photography; and, Zeiss Cirrus 5000 OCT scans upon request. Plus, for extra convenience, the practice has an on-site production lab with digital surfacing, full anti-reflective and mirror coating, and edging.


This practice is unique for its highly-trained staff of 16 employees, including two Optometrists, certified Paraoptometrics, ABO/NCLE certified and Nevada-licensed Opticians, front and back-end support, retail, shipping, and inventory, accounting, and a full-service lab. The practice always delivers the five-star experience that patients know and expect; and, patients fully enjoy the frame selection, quick turn-around times, and reasonable pricing.


About the Optometrist Position

The practice is seeking an Optometrist dedicated to providing high-quality, excellent patient service through full-scope optometry. The current hours for the position are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Fridays—additional charting from home will be required. The Optometrist will see approximately three patients per hour and work closely with the Practice Manager to ensure a smooth flow of patients and profitable operations. A candidate with Spanish-speaking skills and a Nevada state glaucoma certification would be a complementary addition to the practice.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Optometrist license in the state of Nevada


Preferred qualifications include:

  • Nevada glaucoma certification
  • Spanish-speaking abilities
