About the practice

This practice was first opened in 2003 when Dr. Henry Lin moved to El Centro after serving in the United States Navy. Conveniently located near Interstate 8 in the Imperial Valley Mall, this practice provides full-service optometry to residents of all ages and specializes in astigmatism, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataract screening. With two additional locations in San Diego, Optom-Eyes Vision Care Optometry has grown its staff to include seven providers and 38 staff members.


This practice focuses on providing excellent customer service and high-quality, affordable products. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology that allows patients to receive the best quality eye care. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique—plus this practice always accommodates walk-ins.


About the opening

The practice is seeking an Associate Doctor of Optometry to provide high-quality care for patients of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses. In this role, you’ll perform eye exams for vision and ocular health. A candidate who is fluent in Spanish would be a complementary addition to the practice. The current office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Associate OD will work up to five days a week and provide patient care between 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:

  • Doctor of Optometry license in the state of California
  • At least one year of professional experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Fluency in Spanish
