About Cypress Family Eyecare

Established in 1999, Cypress Family Eyecare is owned by James Oevermann O.D. and offers a complete eye care experience to families and residents in Harris County. The practice provides general optometric and medical eye care and specializes in ocular disease management, including binocular disorders, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eyes, contact lenses, and pediatric eye care. To support the practice's growth and potentially expand service offerings to include vision therapy, scleral lenses, orthokeratology, and other specialties, Dr. Oevermann is looking to add an Optometrist to the cross-trained team.

Cypress Family Eyecare goes above and beyond to provide patients with quality vision solutions and exceptional customer service. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of ocular conditions. Technology utilized includes autorefractor, keratometer, fundus camera, optical coherence tomography, and visual field technology. The business operates in a paperless environment and leverages practice management software for operational efficiencies. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique—plus, the Opticians provide personalized support to find perfect frames for comfort and the newest styles for fashion.

About the Optometrist Position

Cypress Family Eyecare is seeking an Optometrist who genuinely cares about the patient experience and is dedicated to providing the world-class service that Dr. Oevermann's patients know and expect. A highly skilled candidate who has working knowledge of the business side of optometry and is passionate about learning more to expand services will be a complementary addition to the team. You'll perform routine eye care and recommend appropriate treatment plans; establish an efficient clinical flow to ensure patient visits run smoothly; and, educate patients about the importance of eye health. You'll start out working eight hours per week and expand your hours as you ramp up.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a strong commitment to patients while serving as an advocate for delivering services with the highest standards. As the newest member of the team, the Optometrist will work alongside Dr. Oevermann to ensure successful onboarding and professional development. The opportunity to further expand a well-established practice and directly contribute to its success is available for the right professional—and a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.
