About Curtis Eye Care

 

Established in 1988, Curtis Eye Care has provided full-service optometry to families and residents in Kent County of all ages, visual and medical diagnoses. The team of Optometrists takes a patient-centric approach to eye care with a significant focus on medical eye care. The practice offers a wide range of services, including exams for special populations, ocular disease treatment and management, and contact lens services. As Curtis Eye Care serves a large patient base, the practice is looking to add an Associate Optometrist who can preserve the legacy service for years to come.

 

Curtis Eye Care utilizes state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases, such as optical coherence tomography and advanced retinal imaging. Additionally, cloud-based technology is utilized to manage electronic health records, establish a baseline of patients’ ocular health, and monitors changes. A team of Optometric Technicians efficiently conduct patient workups and pretesting to enable a smooth practice flow, allowing the Optometrists to care for 30 or more patients daily. Customers enjoy a family-friendling shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of fashionable eyewear and designer frames. The Opticians work closely with the patients to select proper frames for cosmetic, lifestyle, and vision needs.

 

About the Associate Optometrist Opening

 

Curtis Eye Care is seeking a part-time Optometrist who is passionate about providing the highest level of personalized care to help patients achieve optimal vision. You’ll practice primary care optometry, prescribe contact lenses, and manage glaucoma patients. A candidate who has deep knowledge of medical eye care and thrives in a fast-paced environment will be an asset to the team. This is a unique opportunity to care for various patients and conditions while working with other experts who support and value each other.  

 

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

 

Minimum qualifications include:

 

  • Optometry license in the state of Michigan

 

Preferred specialties include:

 

  • Contact lenses
  • Glaucoma management
  • Medical eye care knowledge
