There is a full-time opportunity for an Optometrist at Family Eye Care Associates located in Macomb County, Michigan. This multi-group practice has locations in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores and Washington Township.

About Family Eye Care Associates 


Established in 1953 by Donald H. Lakin, O.D., this family-owned optometry practice provides full-service optometry to families and residents in Macomb County of all ages, insurances, and visual/medical diagnoses. With three thriving locations, Family Eye Care Associates are committed to helping patients achieve clear vision for years to come, specializing in low vision, ocular disease management, pediatric eye care, specialty contact lenses and surgical co-management. All practice locations are conveniently located in Macomb County and easily accessible from M-53 and M-59. To continue maintaining a competitive edge in the eye care industry, Family Eye Care Associates has an opportunity for an additional provider to join the current team of six providers and 26 staff members.  


These tech-forward practices utilize state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. Practices are well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including digital retinal imaging. Online appointment scheduling and office communications are offered via text messaging. Patients enjoy a family-friendly experience as they shop the latest styles of eyewear from the optical boutique—plus the Opticians provide personalized support to select the proper frames tailored to medical needs and fashion preferences.  


About the opening


The practice is seeking a full-time Optometrist who is passionate about providing the highest level of personalized care to achieve optimal vision. In this role, you will provide general patient care four days during the week, as well as Saturdays until 2:00 p.m. This is a unique opportunity to eventually practice full-scope optometry and care for a variety of patients and conditions—while working with other experts in a supportive environment. A candidate with excellent communication skills, enjoys community involvement around serving communities where eye care is needed most, will be a complimentary addition to Family Eye Care Associates. 


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop his/her skills through mentorship with experienced doctors, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:
•    Optometry license in the state of Michigan
•    New graduates will be considered
