About Delta Vista Optometry


Established in 1987, Delta Vista Optometry provides a total eye care experience to families and residents of all ages in the Contra Costa County communities. Patients can expect friendly and attentive care from the expert team of eye care professionals who deliver a spectrum of vision and eye health services, including myopia management, dry eye, glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses. The practice is conveniently located on Brentwood Boulevard in a brand-new, modern office. To support the practice’s continued growth and maintain the gold-standard service that Delta Vista Optometry patients know and expect, the practice is looking to add an Optometrist to the highly-trained staff of 11 employees.


Utilizing advanced diagnostic technologies enables the team to provide the highest level of patient-centered care. The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art optical exam technology including, OCT, OPTOS, Topography Autorefraction, Autophoropter, Icare, and QuanitfEye. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of designer frames and precision lenses from the optical boutique—plus, the Opticians provide personalized support to ensure patients select the proper eyewear for vision needs, lifestyle, and fashion preferences. 


About the Optometrist Opening


Delta Vista Optometry is seeking an Optometrist who is passionate about providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care for all patients. You’ll provide general optometric care one to three days a week, including Saturdays. It is anticipated that more days may be added in the future to accommodate practice growth. Comprehensive patient exams are performed every half hour, with additional built-in-time mid-day and end of the day to complete patient charting. A candidate with further education, experience, certifications, or looking to explore special interests to expand the patient base would compliment the practice. There is potential for practice ownership or partnership in the future.  


To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors continuously and to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.


Minimum qualifications include:


•    Optometry license in the state of California
•    Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents certification
•    Glaucoma Certification
